Time flies when you are having fun! We sure had a lot of fun during 2023 as it was a bumper-packed year with a lot of exciting webinars, new system developments, and building our Shadowmatch community! As this year draws to a close, we would like to thank each and every one of you for joining, supporting, and participating in making ‘Success for All’ a reality!
In our final newsletter for 2023, we will take a walk down memory lane and reflect on what was achieved.
1. Shadowmatch Quizzes
With each of our newsletters this year, we tested your knowledge about Shadowmatch and had prizes for those who answered all our questions correctly. The winner of our October Newsletter Quiz is Mona Bufacchi – congratulations! We hope you enjoyed spending your Takealot voucher.
Through our quizzes, we wanted you to stay curious about all the functionalities, uses, and ins-and-outs of Shadowmatch and hope that when you did not know an answer to a question, that you made it a mission to find out.
We will continue this fun way of learning together again next year!
2. System Developments
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our team of Developers who continue to help us streamline and make the use of the system more effective and efficient. Their dedication and hard work have paid off during the year and we are very proud of all the enhancements that we were able to offer you in 2023!
| The system has a comprehensive list of self-help tutorials to help you navigate the system successfully and optimally (March Newsletter). |
| This development gives system users the opportunity to play around in a real version of the system (August newsletter). |
| The training material for the system was updated to ensure that we train our users as new developments become available (October newsletter). |
| The development of a state service has made it possible to keep track of the selected results graph type, and ordering on individual tables. These selections persist across pages and work sessions. |
| This feature allows mentors to request changes to a mentee’s work before signing off on a phase. |
| This year we introduced the Relationship Coaching Program – further expanding on the coaching options available to our coaches. |
| All archived coaching programs were made viewable (read-only) – with quick access to archived programs added to the side menu. The global notes feature introduced notes that can be shared across coaching programs. |
Our team continues to optimise and enhance the system on all levels. We are excited for what lies ahead in 2024!

4. Coaching Platform
The Shadowmatch coaching platform has been built for coaches with a passion to really make a difference in the lives of people. It offers the coach 31 coaching programmes, with content, outcomes, progress monitoring and assessment functionalities. The platform provides all the training that a coach will ever need, and the good news is that it is a fully automated system.
The Shadowmatch team is very positive about this initiative because it can really make a difference in our world. The number of coaches using the system has grown 42% since January 2023 and the number of people who are being coached has increased by 59%.
This tells us that coaching is a very successful way of building a better life. The programs are meaningful and those who participate experience it as life-changing. It also tells us that people are eager to grow. They want to build better lives. They want to get more out of life, and they want to work on certain areas to live a more successful and fulfilling life.
Keep in mind that Shadowmatch builds systems that build success for all. If you want to make a difference, consider becoming a coach. If you want to experience change to a more fulfilling life, get a Shadowmatch coach.

5. Other Exciting News
Pieter de Villiers, Lizette de Villiers, and Jan Niemand wrote a fantastic book, Through the Looking Glass into the Mirror, and it is about the perspectives on the future of business, education, parenting, politics and more. If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, do so now or give a copy as a Christmas present. Either way, it is a must read! Please contact the office to get yours now!
Ever wondered what is the theory behind Shadowmatch? Well, wonder no more! An exciting new book will be released early in 2024 that will address exactly that question: Shadowmatch – A Simplified Model for Understanding Behaviour. The aim of this short publication, penned by Pieter de Villers, is to introduce the reader to an alternative way of understanding human behaviour, paradigms of thinking (thought patterns), and personality.
